Ill and Tired

A sad, cold, wet, lazy day,
The world around me starts to decay,
The ceiling leaks as I drift away
Into a sleep where I am ill,
I want to escape but I need the will,
No will today, just lazy I feel.

All bunged up, too much effort to rise,
I lie awake with an ache in my thighs.
No motivation, this is not wise.

Work to do but I can’t think,
Maybe it was too much too drink.
My legs won’t work so I’ll sink
Into that world of self deprivation,
One more day of this sad vegetation,
Tomorrow is the day of rejuvenation.
